I picked up my first 'proper' camera in 2006 while studying in New York, gravitating towards portraiture and travel photography. Cameras have since accompanied me on solo backpacking adventures through the Americas, Europe and Asia. A bigger influence was fieldwork with a humanitarian organisation, which afforded me the immense privilege of documenting conflict zones, environmental disasters, and human tragedies.
